Job Description

The Cashier/Stock/Front End Associate is responsible for overseeing all front-end operations, cashiering duties, and stock replenishment in a high-volume wine and spirits retail store. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Responsibilities

Cashiering

Operate cash register and process customer transactions accurately and efficiently Handle cash, credit/debit card, and other payment methods Resolve customer issues or complaints in a professional and courteous manner Maintain cash drawer accountability and balance drawers at the end of each shift
Stock Management

Monitor inventory levels and restock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed Receive and process incoming merchandise shipments Ensure proper stock rotation and organization of products Maintain a clean and organized stockroom and sales floor
Stocker/Driver

Stocker/driver must be flexible with schedule to work mid shift, nights and weekends. This is not a delivery driver only job. Hired applicant will do some physical labor, cleaning and customer service as well as deliveries. Must have positive attitude and proof of insurance. Will not hire unless they can provide proof of insurance. Hourly wage PLUS TIPS.
Front End Management

Supervise and train front-end staff, including cashiers and stock associates Create staff schedules and assign tasks to ensure adequate coverage Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations Maintain a positive and productive work environment for the front-end team Analyze sales data and implement strategies to improve customer experience and sales performance
Customer Service

Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience Assist customers with product selection, recommendations, and inquiries Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in a related field is preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail environment, preferably in a wine and spirits store Strong leadership and supervisory skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills Ability to lift and move heavy cases of merchandise (up to 50 lbs) Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software Availability to work flexible schedules, including some holidays and weekends

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
