JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Penn State World Campus Brand Marketing Team is looking for a strategic thinker with a passion for social media to serve as an intern who will assist with our organic social media efforts.
This team member will report directly to the Director of Web Marketing and Social Media Strategy and will assist in overseeing the development of strategy for and the implementation of organic social media content on Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube. Our team hopes to immerse the right candidate into as much of our daily operations and social media content planning, execution, and metrics analysis as possible to help to prepare them for a career in social media marketing.
Responsibilities/Expectations

  • This is a paid internship position with a base hourly rate of $11/hour
  • Can be used for academic credit if approved by your academic department
  • This position would require 15 hours per week beginning in January 2026 and run through the Spring 2026 semester
  • This position will be fully remote and does not require the candidate to work from our University Park location
