Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs with enthusiasm and professionalism Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to help customers make informed purchasing decisions Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts issuance Upsell complementary products or services to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts, ensuring products are well-organized and appealing Perform regular stock checks, inventory replenishment, and ensure shelves are fully stocked at all times Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Assist with basic retail math calculations for transactions, discounts, or promotions as needed Support store operations by supervising team members during shifts when required, fostering teamwork and efficient workflow Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures related to cash handling, security, and customer service standards

Experience

Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively Experience in supervising or leading teams demonstrates leadership potential and responsibility-taking ability Strong communication skills enable clear interactions with customers and team members alike Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with retail environments is a plus but not mandatory Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions accurately and managing inventory counts

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
