Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Part-Time Reading Specialist (Fundations or Orton-Gillingham) to join our educational team and provide reading support services in Lebanon, NJ. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in literacy education and a passion for fostering a love of reading among students. This position involves Tier 2, pull-out reading support services for elementary students within a small educational environment.

Zachary Noble, Psy.D. & Associates, LLC is a growing private psychology practice located in Newtown, PA. We provide comprehensive psychological and educational services to the greater Philadelphia area and Mercer County, NJ.

Duties

Assess students' reading abilities and develop tailored instructional strategies to meet their individual needs. Design and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate various literacy activities and learning technologies. Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate reading strategies across the curriculum and support overall academic achievement. Provide one-on-one and small group sessions, focusing on improving comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary skills. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development. Foster a love for reading by organizing literacy events and promoting library services within the school community.

Requirements

Experience working with students in an educational setting, particularly in reading instruction or tutoring. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues. A commitment to continuous professional development in the fields of literacy education and childhood development.

Pay: $50.00 per hour
