Job Overview

Wildflower Preschool is a brand-new early childhood program in Westbrook, CT. Our curriculum is play-based, child-led, and deeply rooted in early literacy and the creative arts. We are seeking an educated and energetic teacher to serve in our classrooms with flexible part-time scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in planning and implementing engaging learning experiences that emphasize play, early literacy, sensory exploration, creative arts, and child-led inquiry. Foster a nurturing, safe, and developmentally responsive environment. Support children with warmth, consistency, and care. Build strong, respectful relationships with families through ongoing communication. Collaborate with fellow educators to support the school's shared vision.

Qualifications

Experience working in an

OEC-licensed early childhood center

(required) Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practice Excellent observation, documentation, and communication skills A deep belief in respectful, relationship-based teaching

Position Details

Part-time role during the school year, with the possibility of summers off. 10-15 hours per week Paid holidays and school breaks
