The Part-Time Patient Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role ensures a positive experience by managing front desk operations, scheduling, patient communications, and administrative support to providers. Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Patient Relations
Greet and check in/out patients in a professional and welcoming manner.
Answer and route phone calls, respond to emails, and assist with inquiries.
Collect copays, verify insurance coverage, and process payments.
Ensure all required paperwork and consent forms are completed and filed accurately.
Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA.
Scheduling & Coordination
Schedule patient appointments, therapy sessions, and follow-ups efficiently.
Communicate appointment reminders, cancellations, and reschedules.
Coordinate patient flow between therapists and administrative staff.
Monitor daily schedules to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Administrative Support
Assist with data entry, patient registration, and updating medical records.
Support billing and authorization processes as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area.
Support marketing or community outreach efforts when applicable.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
Previous experience in a medical, therapy, or wellness office setting preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling software
Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
