Provides direct patient care services for primarily venous and arterial vascular disease, and assists the team where needed for a successful flow of daily operations.
The NP performs physical exams, collects and documents data, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies, completes professional consultations, prescribes appropriate interventions and medications, coordinates the care and discharge of the patients, performs vein procedures and provides direct patient care services. The NP contributes to excellence in patient care, teaching and educating the patient, staff and provides leadership to the organization.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to
Provides and coordinates care for our patients seen in the office.
Evaluate Non invasive test results which could lead to a more complex procedure.
Ability to problem solve , and work independently with little supervision
Patient assessment, plan treatment, set priorities and realistic outcomes while collaborating with the physician to formulate plans and progress of patient.
Performs the following skills for consultation and evals: patient history, full or focused physical exam. Ordering and interpretation of laboratory, radiology and or diagnostic procedures/test prior to the procedure appt.
Documentation: Complete H&P progress notes in EMR.
Develop patient plans of care for the management of specific problems in conjunction with physician and other members of the health care team.
Analyze clinical practice patterns so as to provide the best medical care and to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
Communicate verbally and in witting all pertinent patient information to Program Director and MD, staff, and referring MD .
Act as a Role model with competence in all nurse practices.
Provide psychosocial support to selected patients, family members and staff seeking additional resources when appropriate. Collaborate with staff to assess the education needs of selected patients and their families.
Comply with all OSHA and HIPPA regulations designated by state and federal
Attend all mandatory staff meeting, training, and in-services.
Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, mission/vision/goals and support all
Administer and manage narcotics while caring for the patient during and post procedure if needed
Education/ Degree & Certification
MS as a Advanced Practice Nurse
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) either Acute, Adult or Family
Certifications or Licensures current standing
BLS
