LUX LAIR is a fast-growing luxury e-commerce retailer specializing in off-price,
authentic designer handbags, clothing, shoes, and accessories
from world-renowned brands such as Gucci, Fendi, Prada, Saint Laurent, and more. We sell across major online marketplaces--including Amazon, eBay, The RealReal, and Poshmark--as well as our own website.
While most orders ship directly from our suppliers,
all returns are processed at our downtown Minneapolis warehouse
, where this role is based.
Position Overview
We're seeking a
reliable, detail-oriented
, and
highly responsible
Returns & Fulfillment Associate to manage returns and ship orders from returned inventory. This is a
part-time (12-15 hrs/week)
1099 contractor role, typically on
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons
with flexible scheduling available.
You will often be the
only team member onsite
in our clean, organized 400 sq. ft. warehouse located one floor above a co-working space. Typical shifts are
3-5 hours
, and the average shift includes:
3-5 orders shipped
4-6 returns processed
If it's a slower day with fewer returns or orders, there will always be additional tasks available such as
photographing inventory, creating new product listings, and auditing inventory
. You will be
expected to perform these tasks on slower days
, and you'll also have the
option to take on these tasks during regular shifts
to earn additional hours if desired.
A USPS office is onsite (closes at 5 PM), and FedEx/UPS drop-offs are often needed for same-day shipments.

Critical Responsibility of This Role (Please Read)
This position carries a
very high level of trust, accountability, and independence
. You will be the
sole onsite operator
responsible for:
Processing all returns correctly
Accurately managing inventory
Shipping orders on time
Meeting strict marketplace deadlines (Amazon, eBay, etc.)
Because timely shipping directly affects company performance and account health,
reliability, punctuality, and consistency are absolutely essential
. We depend heavily on this role, and applicants must take pride in being dependable, detail-focused, and self-managed.
Responsibilities
Inspect, authenticate, and process returned luxury merchandise
Repackage items for resale with great care
Accurately update inventory records and stock levels
Pick, pack, label, and ship customer orders
Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient workspace
Communicate with customers/team members regarding return issues
Coordinate periodic returns to suppliers
Handle occasional urgent/same-day orders
Photograph merchandise for online listings
Assist in listing new products online
Additional Opportunities:

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Prior retail, warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience
preferred
Exceptional attention to detail, especially with high-value designer goods
Strong organizational skills and accuracy with inventory
Highly reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently
Basic proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets
Strong written communication skills; responsive via Slack
Reliable transportation for local USPS/FedEx/UPS drop-offs
Familiarity with luxury/designer fashion is a strong plus, as you'll be working closely with high-value items from major designer brands.
High school diploma or equivalent required; college preferred
