The Role

The Part Time Leasing Professional will be the face of the community; welcoming prospects, guiding them through the leasing process, and building lasting relationships that drive occupancy, renewals, and resident satisfaction.

This role will work a Thursday through Sunday schedule and roughly 32 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Leasing & Sales

Drive occupancy and revenue by performing all leasing activities, including greeting and qualifying prospects, conducting tours, processing applications, preparing leases, and ensuring smooth move-ins. Maintain awareness of market trends and competitor offerings to maximize leasing effectiveness. Ensure tour path, model homes, and leasing office are tour ready and meet company standards.

Resident Relations & Retention

Build strong relationships with residents by providing excellent customer service, responding promptly to questions or concerns, and resolving issues effectively. Support renewal strategies by preparing and delivering renewal letters, contacting residents in advance of lease expirations, and securing signed renewals on time. Follow up with prospects and residents through calls, emails, and written correspondence to encourage lease commitments and enhance satisfaction.

Administration & Reporting

Utilize property management software (OneSite) to track availability, traffic, leasing activity, and resident data. Complete required financial, accounting, and administrative reports accurately and on schedule. Handle sensitive resident and company information with the highest level of confidentiality.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and all applicable regulations. Practice proper safety techniques and promptly report accidents, injuries, equipment issues, and safety concerns. Monitor and communicate maintenance or upkeep needs to ensure the community remains in excellent condition.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED, or the equivalent level of work experience in an office environment. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar field preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience in leasing, sales, or marketing with a strong customer service background. Excellent communication skills to explain residency terms, sell apartment features, handle resident questions or concerns. Proficient in sales techniques, including lead generation, presentations, prospect qualifications, and closing. Familiarity with property management software, financial, and word processing skills, and internet-based marketing and advertising platforms.

Additional Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record may be required based on the community you are applying for employment. This will be required for the use of company-owned vehicles i.e. utility and golf carts.
