Job Summary:

The duties performed by a kitchen aide are broad and flexible. Assists the kitchen manager to ensure that a quality, nutritious, cost effective meal program is available daily to students and staff.

New Hire Starting Hourly rate:

Grade 3: $17.59 - $19.59 DOE

Internal Hourly Rate:

Determined by the ESSA Negotiated Agreement

Work Hours:

Start times vary depending on individual school sites, but most positions work between the hours of 7:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Work Year

: 9 months

Job Qualifications/Requirements (please review job description for qualifications and duties of the position):

+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Mathematical skills including basic calculations.
+ Basic knowledge of computer and keyboarding skills to include Microsoft Office and Google Suite products, as well as basic troubleshooting.
+ Ability to work with detailed information/data and maintain strict confidentiality of written and oral information and records.
+ Per DEC regulations, must have or be able to pass Food Handlers course 30 days after hire and maintain the card.
