Opportunities to learn and grow with LCHS as we expand
Previous experience working with animals is a plus, but is not required.
Every year we provide care for hundreds of abandoned, surrendered and Community cats. Our commitment is to ensure that each one receives top-notch care until they are placed in their permanent homes or while going through our TNR process.
Beyond the daily operations, every role at LCHS is connected to a larger mission. Our ten-year goal is to
reduce the stray and unwanted pet population in Logan County by ensuring that 80% of cats and dogs are spayed/neutered and microchipped by 2035.
Every program we operate, every adoption we process, and every community message we share is designed with this outcome in mind. The person who joins us in this position will play a direct role in moving our county closer to that goal.
Working in an animal shelter is hard. It's physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting, it's frustrating, it's draining, but it is also incredibly rewarding and provides a level of fulfillment few other jobs can ever hope to offer.
If you are a reliable, committed animal-lover who is looking to grow with us as we continue to grow the LCHS, if you are seeking a fulfilling career and the opportunity to impact the lives of animals and this county as a whole in a significant and practical way, we encourage you to apply for this position.
