Dakota State University is seeking applications for several part-time, non-benefit eligible Facility Workers to work 15-19 hours per week. The position is responsible for the custodial care and minor maintenance at the Community Center or other campus buildings. Hours would consist of days, evenings and/or weekends. Flexibility to cover some holidays is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Floor care including vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and shampooing carpets.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms.
- Collect and remove trash from building.
- Dust and wash walls, woodwork, and windows (inside and out).
- Remove snow from steps and sidewalks near buildings.
- Moving furniture.
- Set-up and clean-up of campus events.
- Follow written and oral instructions.
- Stand for extended periods of time.
- Work with students, staff, and the public courteously.
- Work independently.
- Lift 50 pounds.
- Bend, stretch, climb ladders, twist and walk.
