Part-Time Companion Caregiver - Social, Supportive, and Engaging
About the Role
We are seeking a warm, proactive, and relationship-oriented caregiver to support a lovely, socially active senior couple in their home. This role begins as a part-time position (12 hours/week) and has the potential to grow over time.
The couple is in their late 80s, still independent and mobile, but in need of increasing support -- primarily companionship, activity assistance, and care for the wife, who has moderate dementia. They enjoy a vibrant social life and are looking for someone who can bring a positive presence, offer reliable care, and become a valued part of their family's circle of support.
What You'll Do:

Provide companionship and social engagement
Assist with light household organization and daily routines
Support the client in playing games, participating in hobbies, and staying mentally engaged
Help with meal preparation and kitchen clean-up
Run errands, attend appointments or outings as needed
Offer respite care and emotional support to the spouse and family
Maintain a calm, cheerful, and grounded presence, especially in the face of memory challenges
Communicate clearly with family and report on any changes in condition

Schedule & Location:

3 days per week | 4 hours per shift (Start: 12 hours/week)
Flexible weekday scheduling preferred
Located in a two-story private home in Waco
Potential to grow into a longer-term or full-time role based on client needs

Who We're Looking For:

Caregiver who is warm, personable and good at communication
Experience with memory care/dementia support preferred
Confident and comfortable engaging older adults in conversation and activities
Emotionally intelligent and grounded -- able to adapt with grace
Proactive and organized: takes initiative to help without being asked
Professional in appearance and demeanor
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for errands/appointments

Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
