Circulation assistants:
- Provide excellent customer service experiences for the Shorewood-Troy Library patrons
- Checkin & out books and other items
- Sort items alphabetically
- Answer the Library\'s main phone number and transfer phone calls
- Assist patrons with informational questions and technology questions, plus refer questions to other staff, if necessary
- Help patrons find their next great book to read
- Tell patrons about upcoming programs at the Library
- Other duties as assigned.
- Being able to stand for an extended period and lift up to 25 pounds.
- A minimum of a high-school degree or a GED, with an LTA preferred.
- Strong front-line customer service skills and experience, including cash handling.
- Love recommending the next great book or movie to a patron!
- Office skills such as working with computers, including MS Office and phone skills.
- Paid time off

- Night shift
- Weekend availability
- Shorewood, IL 60404: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
