Overview

MUST BE WILLING TO CLOSE, 2 to 3 shifts a week with potential to pick up shifts. Tuesday/Friday/Saturday nights every week plus pickup shifts. 5 years bartending experience required. We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Bartender to join our dynamic team.

We are a small family owned bar & grill. We are not a super late night bar, but closing shifts are required. Always opportunities to pick up shifts!

The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food and beverage service. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, engaging with guests, and ensuring a memorable experience in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in high-volume, fast paced settings is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining high standards of food safety and responsible alcohol service.

Duties

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately using POS system SpotOn. Engage with guests to provide exceptional customer service, taking orders efficiently and professionally. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Manage cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations for transactions. Restock supplies as needed and assist with setup for events such as banquets or catering functions. Monitor guest behavior to ensure responsible alcohol consumption in compliance with legal requirements. Collaborate with kitchen staff and event coordinators to ensure seamless service during busy periods or special events like nightclub nights or catering functions. Uphold all food safety regulations related to food handling and beverage service.

Skills

Proficiency with POS systems including SpotOn. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests in a friendly manner. Experience in fine dining, nightclub, banquet, or food service environments preferred. Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol serving practices. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and calculating bills accurately. Ability to work night shifts, weekends, or during special events such as catering or banquets. Experience with brewing or the food industry is a plus but not required.
