We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Part-Time Accounting Associate to join our finance team. The Accounting Associate will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, including accounts payable, purchasing, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and general ledger maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Assist with accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, cash receipts, and collections
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support the finance team in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting standards and regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a corporate environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
