The Job

Hartwig is one of the nation\'s leading distributors for CNC machine tools. A Parts Coordinator contributes to the success of Hartwig by providing customer service to our internal and external customers to take orders for new and replacement parts for the CNC machines. They research parts, place orders, and proactively communicate the status of the orders. They must have the ability to determine the urgency of the need.

Main responsibilities of this full-time position located in Omaha, Nebraska include:

  • Responds to requests from customers by answering calls or emails
  • Gathers customer information such as machine model, serial number, part number, etc. to ensure accurate ordering of parts
  • Researches customer requests to identify correct solution and provide quotes
  • Orders entry of specific vendor parts to be validated with Bill of Materials
  • Performs necessary inquiries to expedite orders or fill down machine requests
  • Follows up on backlog of missed shipments on a daily basis
  • Works with vendors on credits and invoices
  • Ships product utilizing correct packing procedures to avoid damage to shipment
  • Performs accurate cycle counts
  • Provides consistent timely updates to service team members in a proactive manner
The Skills

Individuals who ideally fit this role should meet the following qualifications:
  • Previous purchasing experience in manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to work in an office environment, sitting most of the day
  • Experience working in Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve, understanding of cause and effect
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow through
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and customer relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team
