The Public Health Program Technical Assistant provides critical support to the Public Health Program Administrator and associated teams in the Regional Public Health Network (RPHN). This role specifically supports the HRSA-funded Winnipesaukee Mobile Health Program and the RPHN, which includes the Health Council, Prevention Strategies, and Emergency Preparedness divisions. The Technical Assistant ensures smooth program operations by assisting with administrative coordination, supporting meeting facilitation, and conducting data management and analysis. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with partners across the health and human services spectrum.
Responsibilities:
Program Administration
Provide administrative support to the Public Health Program Administrator, including scheduling, correspondence, and preparation of materials.
Assist with the development and maintenance of program records, reports, and documentation for HRSA and RPHN programs.
Support the coordination of program activities, projects, and community initiatives across multiple divisions.
Meeting Support & Facilitation
Assist in planning, organizing, and facilitating meetings for the Health Council, Prevention Strategies, Emergency Preparedness, and other stakeholder groups.
Take accurate and timely meeting notes, ensuring action items and follow-ups are documented and distributed.
Prepare agendas, attendance tracking, and presentation materials as needed.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Collect, organize, and analyze data related to HRSA program performance, community health needs, and RPHN initiatives.
Maintain databases and spreadsheets to track program outcomes, referrals, and key metrics.
Assist in preparing reports, summaries, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure data accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements.
Skills, Education & Certification:
Education
A Bachelor's degree in public health, health administration, social sciences, or a related field is preferred.
Equivalent work experience in public health, healthcare, or program administration is considered.
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including note-taking and summarizing complex information.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadline.
Comfort with data collection, entry, and analysis.
Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders, including community partners, health providers, and public officials.
Work Environment & Conditions:
Hybrid mix of office-based work, community meetings, and virtual coordination.
Requires occasional local travel within the region to attend meetings and events.
Flexible scheduling is required to accommodate community partner and program needs.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include night and weekends as well as being able to travel throughout the region and state as required.
Minimal requirement to reach at or above shoulder level; occasional reaching below shoulder level required.
Ability to tolerate prolonged sitting and/or standing and to lift up to approximately 25 pounds to waist high level whenever necessary.
