Pando Little School

Pando Little School is more than just a preschool. We are a community of individuals dedicated to excellence in early childhood education. Our primary work is with the children and families enrolled in our free, full-time NM PreK program where we tinker, play, explore, and love. In addition to our work in the classroom, we collaborate with educators, organizations, elementary schools, and individuals across the state who care deeply about improving early childhood education in New Mexico.

Pando Little School is seeking an experienced educator to join our Reggio Emilia inspired preschool. As a Pando Teacher, you'll enjoy exceptional teacher-to-child ratios, supportive administration, competitive pay, and friendly, professional colleagues.

Required Qualifications

A degree in ECE, or related field, or the ability to pursue higher education in ECE. 2 or more years of classroom experience. Prior experience working on a collaborative team. Strong communication skills in person and in writing. Creative problem solving Open to new experiences and perspectives.

Why this position?

Convenient Hours

As a teacher in our Poppy Classroom, you will work M-F, 11am to 5pm (Wednesdays until 6pm). We follow Albuquerque Public School's calendar, observing all holidays and vacations. We operate in the summer. This position has the possibility of expanding to full time in January 2026.

Dedicated Planning Time

Teachers enjoy 3 hours of dedicated planning time every week. During these meetings, teachers work collaboratively to design curriculum, reflect on documentation, communicate with families, and refine their classroom environment.

Competitive Pay and Benefits

Pando's starting pay for all employees is $21/hr. Pay above this rate is determined by the candidate's degree, and merit-based raises thereafter. We offer
