We seek applicants who are dedicated to serving The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley's student body as a Part Time Lecturer of Literatures and Cultural Studies beginning Spring 2026.
The Department of Literatures and Cultural Studies at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) occasionally has the need to hire Part-Time Lecturers to teach in the University Core and in the English BA program. Responsibilities include delivering quality instruction within the program. Candidates must be able to teach lower division writing ("Writing and Cultural Studies") and/or sophomore literature courses. Ability to teach on-line courses is a plus. The area of specialization is open. ABD or MA is required by the start date. Assignment of teaching can be made to the Edinburg or Brownsville campus depending on the needs of the Department.

Minimum Qualifications
ABD or MA in English from an accredited institution with at least 18 graduate hours in English.
Discipline Specific Required Qualifications
A foundation in Literary Studies and Cultural Studies
Preferred Qualification
Teaching experience is desirable, as well as ability to use technology to support teaching and learning.
Salary Part-Time Lecturers are paid per SCH bases commensurate with experience and/or qualifications.
