Summary: Poltex exists to provide high quality products while delivering excellent internal and external customer service. The Part Prep Technician position exists to support these goals at the beginning of the product cycle. We are a family-owned company that offers a positive work environment with great flexibility.
Essential Duties:
Ensure all parts are removed completely and accurately from CNC Router machines.
Ensure parts are prepped with utmost attention to cleanliness and detail.
Ensure work environment remains clean during processing of parts and especially after.
Ensure parts are chamfered on inverted routers accurately while adhering to quality standards.
Ensure parts are adequately blown off with compressed air to remove dust and debris
Ensure parts are up to fabrication standards in terms of cleanliness and lack of scratches, etc.
Communicate in writing and in person using clear and professional communication.
Actively communicate with appropriate department/employee to address quality concerns.
Will perform other duties as applicable and needed in other departments, mainly part prep.
Maintain cleanliness in part prep area.
Requirements:
Experience using a forklift and professional forklift certification (or ability to obtain) is strongly preferred.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Ability to focus on a repetitive task while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
Personal accountability and integrity are paramount, as a part prep technician is the first step in the production process of products meant for sale to Poltex's customers.
Ability to participate in building solid systems through honest communication and accountability.
Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining a positive culture.
Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance.
Ability to work safely and help others to do so.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently lifts and carries 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
May occasionally push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance if needed.
Frequent grasping/holding, repetitive use of hands and feet and use of fine hand dexterity.
Frequent reaching over shoulder, overhead and outward.
Occasional kneeling, squatting, sitting, bending.
Frequent walking and standing.
