The Town of Van Buren seeks a dynamic, innovative and team-oriented individual to establish, implement and manage comprehensive community oriented recreation programs, events and activities. The Director is responsible for planning, promoting and implementing specialty sporting activities such as youth soccer, basketball, tennis, pickle ball, ice skating and other outdoor programs and activities. Excellent personal skills and an enthusiasm for working with children, teens and adults is a must.
Additionally, the Director is responsible for scheduling, maintaining and general servicing of all recreation facilities which include all parks, ice skating rink, tennis courts, basketball court and recreation building.
The Director will supervise additional part-time summer and winter staff who assist in program development and implementation.
