Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 12pm - 9pm

Park Waterloo is currently searching for outgoing personalities to join our team to help us in meeting our customer service objectives as we continue to improve the overall parking operations downtown. Our staff is the face of the parking program and interacts with the public on a daily basis. Our staff helps with the upkeep, cleaning, repair and improvements to the parking structures and surface lots downtown Waterloo. This position will work primarily on evenings, overnight and weekends providing customer service for downtown parkers and observing all activities that occur in our parking operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Make regular rotations around the off-street parking facilities
Check stairwells and passageways
Contact proper authorities as needed
Address equipment issues as needed
Provide information to parkers and visitors to the garage
Document all incidents and interactions during the shift for follow-up as needed
Pick-up trash and debris during rotations

REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work in outdoor environments for extended periods of time
Outgoing, friendly personality
Ability to walk or stand for entire shift
Sufficient personal mobility
Ability to lift 30lbs.
Valid Iowa driver's license
Clean background check
Reliable transportation to and from work
Impeccable attendance
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
24/7 Operation
Shifts change based on time of year (winter/spring)
Flexible schedule is needed- hours can vary based on the needs of the operation and downtown events

Key Responsibilities
Must be flexible to work nights Monday-Sunday, Holidays and special events.
Greet arriving and departing guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
Act as traffic controller to direct incoming guests to available parking spaces.
Perform vehicle counts on location throughout shift to ensure garage does not over fill available spaces.
Perform daily patrols and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors that violate garage policies.
Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed; provide assistance to guests who have forgotten where they parked.
Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and any general maintenance tasks as directed by the Garage Manager or Operations.
Use respectful communication to assist guests with their questions, problems, and concerns, relay information to Operations Manager
Immediately report any accidents, incidents or safety concerns to Operations Manager or Shift Lead.
Always communicate professionally with guests, client, and teammates.
Employee must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Basic knowledge of the parking system to add, cancel or reset key cards.
Oversee upkeep of the garage - look for large debris, lights out or anything that can be a hazard. Please report immediately to superiors to inform client.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
At least 18 years of age
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to verbally communicate with guests
Previous customer service experience, preferred
