Park & Public Works Seasonal Laborers Fall/Winter/Spring - 2025/2026

The City of Cedar Falls is seeking Seasonal Laborer candidates for fall/winter/spring of 2025-2026. Positions will be 40 hours per week not to exceed 6 months within its Public Works Department. The hourly rate through 1/2/26 is $17.293 and increases to $18.416 on 1/3/26. Semi-skilled and unskilled labor positions include duties such as mowing, trimming, tree & plant care along with general maintenance of parks, cemeteries, and public properties. Duties may also include street and sewer maintenance and refuse collection. Applicants must have physical strength and endurance and knowledge of and ability to operate maintenance and construction hand and power tools.

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying for consideration. Applicants must also be 18 years old, have a valid Iowa driver's license, a good driving record, and successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment background, physical, and drug screen.
