Key Responsibilities



Audit and Review: Conduct internal audits of parishes, schools, and related entities, analyze financial statements, and present findings with recommendations to pastors and finance councils. Consultation and Support: Advise pastors, principals, administrators, and bookkeepers on accounting, finance, budgeting, cash flow, management, and compliance matters. Investigations: Review unusual financial transactions and conduct investigations when misappropriation is suspected. Training and Development: Develop and deliver accounting, finance, and management training for parish and school staff. Research and Reporting: Investigate accounting, management, taxation, and ministry issues, and prepare summaries to stay current on best practices. Additional Duties: Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by the Director.

Requirements:

What We're Looking For



Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the church and eager to carry out the mission of the Archdiocese to rescue all people in Jesus Christ for the glory of the Father. Align with the values and mission of the Catholic Church CPA or MBA preferred, or equivalent accounting experience. Strong accounting knowledge, including journal entries, reporting, and account analysis. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, or equivalent programs. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. High integrity, professionalism, and ability to build trust with clergy and staff. Independent, proactive, and decisive while working collaboratively.
