Para Professionals play a vital role by assisting classroom teachers in meeting the needs of students with specific accommodations or modifications. Training and resources are provided through our program to ensure Para Professionals are prepared and supported. Working alongside general education teachers and our Special Education teacher, Para Professionals help students succeed on individualized reading and math tracks, while also growing spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally within a vibrant community of faith, family, and learning.

Responsibilities

Assist classroom teachers in providing instruction, support, and supervision for students with accommodations or modifications Work one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce lessons and skills Support students with organization, communication, and social-emotional skill development Help implement student plans and track progress under teacher guidance Contribute to a safe, positive, and faith-centered learning environment Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and administrators to support student success Participate in training and professional development offered through the program

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or higher in education/related field preferred) Experience working with children; experience with students with special needs is highly valued Patient, compassionate, and strong communicator Team-oriented and mission-driven; comfortable in a Catholic, faith-based environment Willingness to learn and implement strategies provided through teacher/program training
