Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to enhance the learning experience for students, particularly those with special needs. This role requires a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that promotes the academic and social development of all students.

Responsibilities

Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to individual student needs. Support students with special education requirements, ensuring they receive appropriate guidance and encouragement. Facilitate literacy education by helping students develop reading and writing skills. Provide care and supervision for toddlers in daycare settings, ensuring their safety and well-being. Work collaboratively with educators to create engaging learning experiences, including Montessori methods. Assist in managing classroom behavior and promoting positive interactions among students. Help prepare instructional materials and maintain an organized classroom environment. Document student progress and communicate effectively with teachers regarding individual student needs.

Experience

Previous experience in a childcare or educational setting is preferred, particularly in roles involving lesson planning or special education. Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Experience in literacy education. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
