Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to support classroom instruction and student development in an educational setting. The ideal candidate will assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, managing classroom activities, and providing individualized support to students with diverse learning needs. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with children, including those with disabilities or special needs, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Experience in early childhood education, special education, or working with children is highly valued for this position.

Responsibilities

Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans across subjects such as literacy education, math, and curriculum development. Support classroom management and behavior management strategies to maintain a safe and productive environment. Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students, including those with autism or other disabilities. Help facilitate activities related to childcare, preschool, toddler care, Montessori methods, and daycare programs. Support students' social-emotional development and encourage positive interactions among peers. Assist with classroom organization, materials preparation, and maintaining an orderly learning space. Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to support student progress and well-being.

Requirements

Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare, preschool, private schools, or similar environments. Knowledge of childhood development principles and experience with behavior management techniques. Familiarity with special education practices, curriculum development, and working with students with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and families. Experience in early childhood education, Montessori methods, toddler care, or preschool experience is preferred. Ability to assist in lesson planning for literacy education and math instruction tailored to diverse learners. Demonstrated ability to work well with children of various ages and developmental stages. Commitment to creating an inclusive environment that supports the growth of all students. Pay: $14.00 - $17.50 per hour
