The Texarkana Arkansas School District is accepting applications for paraprofessional (classroom aides, including Special Education aides). Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
1. Pass a national criminal background check;
2. Pass a background check of the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry;
3. Hold a high school diploma or equivalent;
4. Possess a minimum of 60 hours at an accredited college or have passed the Praxis ParaPro exam with a minimum score of 457;
5. Exhibit a reasonable degree of proficiency in reading, writing and mathematics;
6. Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills.
