Job Description

Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney is looking for a part time legal assistant to help with preparing and filing bankruptcy petitions.

Compensation:

$18.00 to $24.00 per hour.

Time Requirements:

5 days per week (Monday through Friday) from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Total of 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

Working with the attorney and other legal assistants to prepare and file with the court Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy petitions. Drafting letters, pleadings, and performing office duties such as answering phones, scanning, interacting with clients, etc.

Qualifications:

Must be reliable and able to work independently. Must be computer savvy and proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat.

Candidates with any of the following are encouraged to apply:

Candidates with a college degree. Candidates with a paralegal certificate. Candidates with one (1) or more years of experience working in a prior law firm setting.
