Job Description

The Law Office of Taylor R. Dahl is seeking to hire a paralegal to join our office and assist our attorneys in a variety of practice areas. We are currently a team of 4 attorneys and 5 support staff, looking for an experienced paralegal.

This role will be primarily assisting one attorney, who practices in multiple areas of law. The primary focus is family law, but also includes estate planning, general civil litigation, and other areas. While this position provides support mainly to a specific attorney, everyone in our office works together and helps one another wherever is needed.

The requirements for this position are as follows:

At minimum 1 year of prior applicable paralegal experience Positive attitude Strong work ethic Highly organized and detail-oriented Ability to multi-task and prioritize Excellent written and oral communication skills Kind and patient customer service Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Punctual, dependable, and available to work Monday-Friday from 8-5
Job duties include but are not limited to:

Communicating with clients, courts, clerks, opposing counsel, etc. Drafting motions, pleadings, correspondence Setting up and organizing client files, both digitally and hard copies Scheduling appointments, court hearings, mediations, etc. Maintaining attorneys' schedules and calendars Obtaining and preparing discovery responses Creating trial prep binders and preparing files for trial Organizing materials for attorney review
Pay is based on experience and qualifications but is set up as a salary. There is a bonus structure in addition to base salary. Company matched 401k available after 6 months of employment.
