Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail oriented Pantry Worker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong background in food preparation and the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly, with a focus on maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and presentation. The Pantry Worker will assist in meal preparation including salads, pizza, dessert, and appetizers. They will also be responsible for the overall organization and cleanliness of the pantry area.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and menus Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pantry and kitchen areas Ensure proper food handling and safety practices are followed at all times Ensure proper plating of each dish Communication with chef and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and ticket times Perform nightly inventory checks Utilize knife skills for food preparation tasks, ensuring precision and safety Participate in catering events as required, providing excellent service to guests

Experience

Familiarity with a full service restaurant environments is advantageous Knowledge of food preparation and basic measurements Experience in the food industry, particularly in culinary roles, is highly desirable Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail
