Overview

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial painting, with a strong understanding of color theory and the ability to read blueprints. This role involves working on home sites, maintaining high standards of quality and safety while completing various painting projects. The Painter will also be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all work meets our clients' expectations.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to coordinate fixture installation and renovations. Use power tools safely and effectively for tasks such as cutting in edges or removing old paint. Maintain a clean and organized work area on construction sites. Ensure adherence to safety protocols while working at heights or with hazardous materials. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision and provide updates on project progress.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Painter, preferably in residential painting or construction environments. Strong knowledge of color theory and finishing techniques. Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions accurately. Familiarity with plastering techniques is a plus. Proficient in the use of power tools related to painting tasks. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on various projects. Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and perform manual labor as required.

Base Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
