Role Overview




As a Google Media Buyer, you'll lead performance across Search, YouTube, and Performance Max. You'll architect campaigns from the ground up with an analytical mindset, managing both structure and strategy to drive profitable outcomes.


This isn't a maintenance position--it's a technical and analytical role requiring mastery of data interpretation, attribution modeling, and revenue optimization. You'll diagnose why campaigns perform the way they do, build solutions, and collaborate cross-functionally to influence creative, landing pages, and conversion flow.

Key Responsibilities



Own campaign architecture and strategy across Search, YouTube, Display, and Performance Max. Conduct deep analysis across metrics and dimensions (search term, device, time, location, audience, keyword, creative, landing page). Implement and optimize bidding automation strategies (Max Conversions, tROAS, tCPA) based on performance data. Use data segmentation and query mining to eliminate wasted spend and isolate high-intent traffic. Partner with analytics to refine attribution modeling (GA4, Data Studio, Looker) and integrate with cross-channel dashboards. Drive incrementality testing and interpret data beyond last-click attribution. Optimize Performance Max asset groups, analyzing audience signal performance, video engagement, and product feed data. Oversee tracking infrastructure--conversion tags, enhanced conversions, offline imports, and CRM integration. Collaborate with CRO and Creative teams to test messaging, page flow, and ad/LP congruence. Produce weekly insight reports that explain why performance changed, what caused it, and howit will be fixed or scaled. Other duties as assigned.

What Success Looks Like



You don't just hit CPA and ROAS goals--you engineerthe path to them. You can trace the root cause of performance shifts down to campaign, audience, or time-of-day level. You implement testing structures that drive incremental and compounding improvements. You're recognized internally as the agency's Google performance expert and strategic operator.

Requirements:

Required Skills & Experience



5+ years of hands-on Google Ads experience across Search, YouTube, and Performance Max. Proven track record managing $500K+/month in performance budgets. Expert in: + Google Ads Editor & Experiments
+ GA4, Tag Manager, and enhanced conversions setup
+ Attribution models (data-driven, position-based, linear)
+ Query analysis, keyword sculpting, and audience layering
+ YouTube audience segmentation & creative optimization
Strong analytical skillset--comfortable building pivot tables, calculated fields, and data models in Sheets or Looker. Experience identifying cross-platform attribution impact (Google - Meta - CTV). Advanced understanding of bid algorithms, auction dynamics, and ad rank mechanics. Obsessed with metrics--constantly asking whyperformance changes and validating insights with data.

Education:



* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
