JobDescription:

Asa PACU / Pain Clinic Nurse, you will be responsible for preparing patients forsurgery and assisting them in recovery post-operatively. Your duties willinclude assessing patients' conditions, monitoring vital signs, administeringmedications, administration of conscious sedation after successful completionof sedation training program, and coordinating patient care with the surgicalteam. You will work closely with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcareprofessionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Duties

Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during the recovery phase. Administer medications and manage intravenous (IV) lines as necessary. Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify any complications or concerns. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care. Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients. Assist in catheter care and management of drains as needed. Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately in electronic health records.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Experience in PACU or critical care nursing preferred. Proficient in primary care skills including venipuncture, patient assessment, and administering injections. Knowledge of family planning practices and emergency medicine procedures. Ability to perform spinal taps when required. Strong understanding of infection control measures and catheter care techniques. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
