Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Registered Preop/PACU Charge Nurse, you will supervise the nursing service activities in Preop/PACU areas. You will also be responsible for covering during the absence of the manager.

What you will do in this role:

• You will participate in the planning and distribution of patient assignments
• Support your nursing staff by communicating with physicians in regard to patient conditions
• You will facilitate the process of reporting patient status to the appropriate staff
• Manage the nursing care of your assigned patients
• You will assess plans and evaluate patient care needs
• You will carry out physician orders

Qualifications for this role:

• Current licensure as an RN
• Current certification as a BLS and ACLS Healthcare Provider
• Nursing diploma
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Services in orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, colon & rectal surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, podiatry, radiology oncology, and urology are available.
