Summary:

Performing unracking and unmasking duties. Participate in all day to day activities in the Packaging department with a focus on throughput and continuous improvement. Helps create and promote a performance-based culture through the use of departmental metrics and daily production meetings while providing training and guidance to the department to keep it operating at a high level of efficiency to maximize results.

Responsibilities:

Level I

Read and understand work order requirements Identify parts with digital pictures Identify all commonly used primers and paints Un-racks, unmasks, and solvent clean parts, when required, prior to packaging and shipping Apply brush conversion coat, ferrocote, and primer/paint touch up Operate force cure ovens Packages parts in accordance with Orizon Aerostructures procedures and work order instructions Operate power hand tools to open and close crates Initiate and supports in the implementation of continuous improvement projects in the

Shipping Department

Communicate the need for equipment, training, and service needs to the department supervisor Assists the department Supervisor with the review of quality non-conformances received from the customer Participate in the Corrective Action Process Manages time appropriately to ensure that all production, quality, and delivery schedules are met Provides information to the Customer Service Department on issues involving shipments to customers and provide assessments on impacts to deliveries Keeps the packaging and shipping areas clean and organized Observe safety requirements and use all required safety equipment Work overtime when required, including weekends Perform other duties as assigned by supervision

Qualifications Level 1:

Previous experience in packaging and shipping preferred Demonstrated experience with working extended hours, overtime, and weekends when necessary to support production and operations activities preferred Demonstrated experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and correcting quality issues preferred Demonstrated experience independently and within a team environment required Demonstrated experience completing assigned tasks in a timely, paying attention to detail, and capturing and assimilating information quickly required Demonstrated experience with reading, analyzing, and following work instructions and procedures required Demonstrated experience with changing work environment, competing demands, and dealing with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events required High School Diploma, GED, or able to demonstrate basic written, reading, verbal, and math skills required.
