Packing Machine Operator



1 position Regular work schedule is M-F 7am-3pm with some extended daily hours and weekend work possible.



1 position Regular work schedule is M-F 3pm - 11pm with some extended daily hours and weekend work possible.



Hours worked from 5pm - 6am Monday - Friday will receive a 15% shift premium. All hours worked on Saturday and Sunday will receive a 15% shift premium.

Perform all required preventative maintenance. Perform repairs on the machinery in the shipping department. Monitor the machinery and dust systems.



Start, stop, operate and monitor poly forming, volumetric filling packaging machines to meet customer orders and specifications for product type, label, weight, quantity and quality. Completion of all associated records and paperwork and the keeping work area cleaned.



Must be able to read production orders, print legibly, add subtract, multiply and divide, in whole numbers and decimals, follow detailed instructions.



Must be able to lift heavy weights (up to 60#) occasionally and work standing up for periods of two hours or more at a time.



Job Duties



Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for food safety by following HACCP and Food Safety policies/procedures. Responsible for plant safety by observing persons entering your work area, asking if you can assist them, and reporting unauthorized persons to your supervisor. Attend training as required or approved by supervisor.



Education Requirements



One year certificate from college or technical school; or High School Diploma or GED.
