Salary: $185,000+ (based on experience and skill level)

Your Role as a

n Overnight Doctor of Emergency Veterinary Medicine

As a vital member of our Emergency team, you'll play a hands-on role in managing overnight hospitalized patients as well as diagnosing and treating urgent and emergency medical cases by providing critical, life saving care. The Overnight ER DVM will collaborate with Specialty DVMs to provide well rounded patient care unique to each patient's need. They will utilize their knowledge to educate not only our team on the medicine they are providing but also relaying this information to our clients in a manner that is easy to understand. You'll use your expertise to:



As an Overnight ER DVM you are responsible for maintaining care for hospitalized patients, updating clients accordingly, and communicating different options for medical treatment plans as well as the financial responsibilities that go along with these. You will collaborate closely with our medical team, client service representatives, and administrative staff to strengthen teamwork, communication, and overall hospital culture. Your leadership will help elevate patient care, streamline operations, and create a more supportive and unified environment within EVS.

Requirements

Required:



Colorado Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) License.

Registration with DORA.

AVMA PLIT Insurance.

DEA License.

1+ year experience in veterinary emergency care.


Preferred:



Internship trained or 3+ years' experience in veterinary emergency care.

Experience with inpatients is a plus but not required.

RECOVER certification.

Experience in surgery and endoscopy a plus but not required.

Schedule

Full-Time OVN ER DVMs work an average of 10 shifts over a four (4) week rotation equaling approximately 130 shifts per calendar year. Shifts typically vary and may include holidays, weekends, overnights, and on-call if necessary to fill the needs of the hospital.
