Our client is a trusted manufacturers' representative firm serving the Southeastern U.S. for over 60 years. We represent a best-in-class portfolio of electrical products and solutions across Utilities, industrial, commercial, and mission-critical sectors. Our Transmission & Distribution group partners with leading manufacturers to deliver the infrastructure that powers, protects, and modernizes the electric grid.

This role is responsible for selling high-voltage equipment and system solutions to electric utilities (IOUs, co-ops, and municipalities), expanding into new markets in Arkansas / Mississippi.
This is a unique opportunity to build something new--with the full backing of our internal team and a manufacturing partner that has invited us to grow with them.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow utility customer relationships across assigned territory (AR, MS)
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to electric utilities on high-voltage equipment.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and procurement contacts at investor-owned and cooperative utilities.
  • Identify, pursue, and win new business opportunities in emerging markets.
  • Partner with our manufacturers and internal support team to provide responsive, value-added solutions.
  • Participate in regional industry events, utility association meetings, and technical presentations.
  • Use CRM tools to manage pipeline, forecasts, and reporting.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of outside sales or business development experience in the utility, electrical, or power systems space.
  • Strong technical acumen in T&D systems, substations, or related electrical infrastructure.
  • Proven relationship-builder with utility decision-makers and influencers.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, organized, accountable, and growth-oriented.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel regionally throughout state (~30-40%).
Why Join Our Client?
