We are a strong and growing Heating & Plumbing manufacturers' rep agency serving all of New England and Upstate New York. We have an immediate full-time Outside Sales / Customer Service position on our Plumbing team available.

The Outside Sales Representative will sell products and services offered by the company to current and new customers. This role focuses on the company's plumbing lines, and you will be working directly with wholesalers and key contractors. The territory for this position is the Fairfield County, CT area.

The salary for this position will be based on prior experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:



Must have prior field experience. Technical background and ability to problem solve a must. Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads. Identify and execute possible leads. Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs. Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs. Educate customers on product functionality and the benefits. Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale. Sells line card companies products and services to their account base. Product presentations. Take initiative in addressing complaints. Work with Marketing to boost company's visibility. Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, price changes, and services that may be of interest. Maintains literature and samples to distribute to wholesalers, showrooms, and contractors. Participate in trade shows, wholesaler events, counter days, and other trade-related activities. Work with Regional Managers associated with specific product/line categories. Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems. Develops new accounts through prospecting. Monitor industry competitors and new products. Perform trainings and attend work-related events to promote EDOS offerings. Provides periodic territory sales forecasts. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to speak in front of an audience. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM'S or related software. Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision. Solid interpersonal skills; a friendly and energetic personality with a customer service focus. Ability to occasionally travel and do overnights.

Education and Experience:



Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field;
OR

At least five years of related experience desired, will train a desired candidate. Salary will reflect experience and knowledge.

Physical Requirements:



Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Driving throughout territory daily. Must be able to travel, some overnights. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
