Description Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Outside Sales Representative in our Corrugated Packaging Division supporting our Huntsville, Alabama & Cleveland, Tennessee box facilities. A successful Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for sustained and profitable sales growth in the industrial or manufacturing corrugated market with a focus on new business, customer service, value creation and general market awareness. Location: The ideal candidate will reside within a 100-mile radius of Huntsville, Alabama or Cleveland, Tennessee

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Daily demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset managing your territory like it\xe2\x80\x99s your own business
  • Primary focus on new business development; determining potential opportunities from cold calls, networking, marketing leads, and other sources
  • Maintaining and strengthening customer relationships through professional sales calls and follow ups
  • Maintain existing sales and actively seek opportunities resulting in growth
  • Responsible for opportunity and market analysis
  • Analyze customer and market needs, pricing models and manufacturing input
  • Proactively manage customer projects to ensure customer needs are understood and met, including championing product development activities, conducting plant trials, press checks and following up on customer request
  • Work closely with both internal and external Marketing, Technical & Manufacturing Groups, etc.
  • Continue to develop contacts at all levels within accounts and prospects
  • Utilizing tools such as Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and CRM Microsoft Dynamics
  • Maintain a CRM sales pipeline tool, monthly forecasts, account profiles, competitive profiles, account strategies, pricing information, etc.

  • Ability to sell using a consultative, problem-solving approach
  • Time management and prospecting skills
  • Ability to work remotely with limited supervision or interaction with management
  • Ability to uncover problems, issues and needs from a customer\'s perspective and to incorporate creative problem-solving techniques to identify solutions that create value for both the customer and the company
  • Strong internal and external communication skills including oral, written, presentation and active listening

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • 2 or more years of B2B sales experience
  • Experienced in prospecting, business planning, consulting, and territory financial analysis
  • Demonstrated experience meeting sales objectives/goals
  • Willing to travel up to 50% in the territory with potential overnight travel
  • Valid U.S. Driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and good driving record

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Corrugated and/or packaging industry experience
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or higher
