QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY:
1. Registered Nurse License in good standing with the South Dakota Board of Nursing
2. Current CPR/ BLS
3. Professional Liability Protection MANDATORY
EXPERIENCE:
1. Minimum 2 years Outpatient Registered Nurse experience
2. Supervisory experience preferred.
SKILLS & ABILITY:
1. High level of proficiency with Microsoft office applications, hospital software applications.
2. Ability to think critically and multitask in a high-pressure situation.
3. Ability to organize and manage an office setting and work with all.
4. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member; establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with members of the interdisciplinary team, and exercise judgment by participating in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care according to college standards.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs according to the Standards of Professional Practice set out by the South Dakota Board of Nursing and in compliance with the policies, procedures and standards of the facility
2. Accepts clinical responsibility and professional accountability for the care delivered to assigned patients.
3. Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team, fulfilling responsibilities as such.
4. Complies with The Ethical Framework for Registered Nurses in South Dakota
5. Provide direction, guidance, supervision
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Conducting patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and symptom evaluations
Administering medications, injections, IV therapies, and vaccinations as prescribed
Assisting with minor procedures (e.g., wound care, biopsies, suture removal)
Monitoring and managing patients with chronic illnesses (e.g., diabetes, hypertension)
Providing pre- and post-procedure education for patients undergoing outpatient surgeries
Teaching patients about medication management, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes
Instructing patients on post-visit care, wound care, and rehabilitation exercises
Working closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and specialists to develop care plans
Coordinating patient referrals to specialists, diagnostic tests, or home health services
Documenting patient care accurately in electronic medical records
Managing clinic workflows, including scheduling follow-ups and maintaining medical supplies
Carry out all work assignments safely and be knowledgeable of and in compliance with relevant regulations, policies and procedures in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations, as well as other legislation as applicable.

2. Must provide satisfactory Level 2 Background Check
3. Must maintain Certified Registered Nurse License in good standing with the South Dakota Board of Nursing
