We are seeking candidates for an Outpatient Addiction Treatment Counselor for our Intensive Outpatient level of care. This position involves carrying a caseload and facilitating groups each week plus individual sessions with your clients. This position will be located in Iowa City. ey Duties and Responsibilities

Assists in the development, coordination, and evaluation of the treatment program. Conducts individual, family, and group sessions consistent with treatment plans. Provides clients and families with referral resources for the services not provided by this agency or when this agency's services are not appropriate. Maintains timely and accurate documentation reflective of client treatment plans and progress.

Schedule:

Type: Full-time Hours: 40+ hours each week + Monday-11:30a-8:00p
+ Tuesday-11:30a-8:00p
+ Wednesday-8:00a-4:30p (can be flexible)
+ Thursday-11:30a-8:00p
+ Friday-8:00a-4:30p

Education and Experience Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required, preferably in social or behavioral sciences or related field. Candidates with an Associates degree and 3+ years of experience as a substance use or gambling treatment counselor may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Upon hire, is a requirement of the position that the employee will seek certification as a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) as soon as the person can meet the qualifications per the Iowa Board of Certification standards.
