Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Over-the-Road (OTR) Box Truck Driver to join our team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations throughout the North East, Eastern, South East, Midwest and Southern Regions. This is a crucial role in our organization as you will be the face of our company on the road.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate a 26 ft box truck, adhering to all traffic laws, all relevant regulations, and company policies. Transport goods over long distances, ensuring timely delivery to designated locations. Handle and secure freight to prevent damage during transit. Ability to work OTR (Over-the-Road) and adapt to varying schedules and routes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functionality and identify any maintenance needs. Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and Hours of Service (HOS) requirements. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and the logistics team to coordinate delivery schedules and ensure customer satisfaction. Utilize GPS navigation and a personal cell phone for efficient route planning and navigation. Use email to submit required paperwork promptly. Utilize Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) to accurately record driving hours and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations. Follow directions precisely from dispatchers to coordinate delivery schedules. Provide excellent customer service while representing the company on the road.

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year experience driving commercial vehicles. Clean driving record with no major violations. Ability to safely operate a lift gate and bring pallets to the ground safely. Excellent communication skills. Must have DOT Medical Card. (if you don't, it's okay we'll get you one) Ability to secure loads with straps and operate a pallet jack. Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed. Proficiency in GPS navigation systems. Must have a cell phone for communication and navigation purposes. Ability to follow directions accurately and efficiently. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Capacity to adapt to changing schedules and routes. Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings as required.
