Orthopedic Physician Assistant

Part-Time

basis.

Schedule and Compensation:

Hours:

Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM (24 hours/week).

Surgeries:

Some Wednesdays and Fridays will be required to assist surgeons with surgeries in the operating room.

Compensation:

$80 - $100 per hour

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons to provide comprehensive patient care in both surgical and non-surgical settings. Assist in surgical procedures, including preoperative preparation, intraoperative support, and postoperative care. Conduct patient evaluations, diagnose conditions, and create treatment plans under the supervision of the attending physician. Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and MRIs. Educate patients and their families about treatment options, surgical procedures, and postoperative care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care discussions. Stay informed about the latest advancements in orthopedic surgery and treatment techniques.

Requirements:

Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in both New Jersey and New York. Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical orthopedics (new graduates with relevant clinical rotations may be considered). Strong knowledge of orthopedic surgical procedures and postoperative care. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, medical staff, and team members. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities. Dedication to providing compassionate patient care and commitment to patient satisfaction.
