Orthodontic Sterilization & Clinical Support Assistant

--someone who supports our orthodontic assistants and helps keep our clinic running smoothly every single day.

Position Overview

This role is essential to the efficiency and safety of our clinic. The Orthodontic Sterilization & Clinical Support Assistant is responsible for sterilization, equipment maintenance, operatory turnover, and providing basic chairside support when needed. Monday-Friday

7:45 AM - 5:00 PM

Regular and consistent overtime required

Key Responsibilities

Sterilization, Maintenance & Clinic Flow

Clean, sterilize, package, and distribute instruments following strict protocols Maintain a spotless, organized, and fully stocked sterilization area Turn over operatories quickly and to a high standard Perform routine maintenance on sterilization and clinic equipment Complete and document spore testing; prepare and send required tests to appropriate labs Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs proactively Support overall clinic flow to help keep the day on schedule

Chairside Clinical Support (as needed)

Assist orthodontic assistants with basic procedures Help with bonding a lingual button or appliance when needed Complete digital scans using an iTero scanner Take impressions as instructed

Qualifications

Polished, presentable, and professional at all times Strong work ethic with the ability to self-manage and stay on pace Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable Adaptable, flexible, and eager to learn new skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Dental or orthodontic experience preferred but

not required

Compensation & Wage Progression

Starting pay: $16.00/hr

60-Day Review:

Employees demonstrating strong work ability, reliability, and proficiency in essential duties will be considered for a wage increase at 2 months. Additional pay increases are based on: Quality, consistency, and accuracy of sterilization and turnover Ability to handle routine equipment maintenance and spore testing Growth in clinical support skills (iTero, impressions, chairside tasks) Professionalism, initiative, and contribution to team efficiency
