Ortho Assistant for clinical and clerical work (Harvey)

Growing Trieu Smiles Orthodontics practice is seeking an orthodontic assistant for clinical and clerical work. Position will be 3-5 days a week 8:45 AM- 6:00 PM. We will be conducting in-clinic interviews. We prefer applicants to have prior experience in a dental/ortho setting but we are willing to train if you are a fast learner. Candidates must be/have:

-positive, friendly, responsible, dependable

-able to multitask front desk & clinical

-punctual

-phone etiquette

-high school diploma and/or college degree

-not mind cleaning or taking out garbage

-reliable transportation

-have schedule flexibility

-eager to learn and develop skills

-knowledgeable with computers and software such as Microsoft Word & Excel, Mac & Windows

-know the importance of patient confidentiality

Job Duties:

-sterilize instruments

-assist chairside

-perform orthodontic adjustments

-take radiographs & digital photos

-order and monitor inventory supplies

-answer telephone calls and internet inquiries

-take impressions of patient's teeth and fabricate retainers

-check insurance benefits and send insurance claims

-schedule appointments and follow-up with patients

-explain financials to patients

-perform monetary transactions and understand account ledgers

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $25.00 per hour
