We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will support orthodontic procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain efficient clinic operations. This role requires a strong understanding of dental assisting techniques, infection control protocols, and familiarity with orthodontic-specific procedures. Orthodontic Assistant

Key Responsibilities
Prepare patients for orthodontic treatment and ensure a welcoming, comfortable experience.
Assist the orthodontist chairside during all clinical procedures, including bonding, debonding, adjustments, and impressions.
Take and process intraoral and extraoral photographs, digital scans, and X-rays (radiographs).
Maintain and sterilize instruments and operatory areas according to OSHA and infection control standards.
Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment progress.
Document treatment notes accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record system.
Manage inventory and ensure clinical supplies are stocked and organized.
Collaborate with the front office team to ensure smooth scheduling and patient flow.
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture through communication, accountability, and professionalism.
Qualifications
Orthodontic or dental assisting certification (preferred).
Radiology certification and CPR certification (preferred).
Minimum [1-3] years of experience in orthodontics or dental assisting preferred.
Proficiency with digital systems (e.g., Cloud 9 ortho, OrthoFi, or Trios scan) is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both patients and team members.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and multi-tasking ability.
