Job Description

Anderson Trucking Service (ATS) is growing our Safety Trainer/Driver Orientation team in Porter Indiana. This is NOT a remote or work from home position. Internally this career is known as an

Driver Orientation Facilitator

that on-boards new drivers.

This position will lead and deliver classroom driver training, cover safety, securements, operational details, and administrative tasks. This role will conduct driver road tests to meet DOT standards.

CDL-A license is required.



"Simply put, what would I be doing?"



You would be working in a dynamic training environment with other professionals on our safety team. You'd be working to educate drivers on ATS truck technology, policies, procedures, and certifying drivers when the training is completed. This role would be building relationships with drivers, making suggestions to coach/counsel for compliance, and adapting quickly to resolve problems. This position would would be facilitating classroom training and conducting road tests.

"What does it take to be successful?"



Must have 2 to 4 years of training facilitation of CDL driver experience Great ability to be organized and multitask Experience speaking and presenting information to groups of people Must have CDL-A (Commercial Driver's License) Strong work-ethic and integrity, along with classroom management Experience using Microsoft Windows software and tablet technology Strong knowledge of Department of Transportation safety regulations Knowledge of Specialized & Heavy Haul securement protocols

Compensation & Benefits



The anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000. Base salary offered is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications, and geographic as compared to others doing substantially similar work. In addition to the base salary, employees may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which can vary depending on individual and/or company performance. Anderson Trucking Service is committed to supporting our employees with a comprehensive benefits package.
